Southern Indiana’s résumé reads like a team that must win the Ohio Valley tournament to reach the NCAA field because its only real high points are a road victory at Valparaiso, a solid trip to Tennessee Tech and a convincing home blowout of Western Illinois while its nonconference slate produced multiple heavy defeats at Butler, South Dakota and Western Michigan and a clutch of neutral and true road setbacks that undercut any at-large case. The committee will weigh the severity of those losses and the scarcity of signature wins away from home more heavily than a few close conference losses, so there is little left to do but accumulate wins against familiar league foes.
